#MeToo – unless you’re a Jewish woman
It took UNWomen almost two months to condemn the rape and torture of women who were subject to the war crimes of Hamas on 7 October.
The fact that it took UNWomen almost two months to condemn the rape and torture of women who were subject to the heinous war crimes of Hamas on 7 October should surprise me – but it doesn’t.
As a longtime observer and commentator on the international treatment of Israel, I can attest that this shameful UN agency is just one of a long list of organisations which practice systemic antisemitism from the top down.
International bodies like Amnesty International and World Vision (among many many others) have been consistently open in their biased and inaccurate portrayal of what takes place in Israel, Gaza and the West Bank – and the actions of Red Cross in respect of the current crisis should be the subject of an international tribunal (but won’t be).
The message is clear. If you support Israel and the Jews you need to understand that we are not engaged in a rational debate with people of conscience and goodwill. This is not about simply sifting right from wrong.
This is a civilisational crisis driven by the same spirit which empowered Hitler and allowed the Nazis to almost wipe out every Jew in Europe.
You think that sounds extreme? Look around at what’s happening in the world right now. If you can posit an alternative explanation, I’d be happy to entertain it.
Never again, is now.
