When I launched Prophecy Shock back in March, I made a deliberate decision not to produce a digital edition – not because I have anything against digital books, but because Prophecy Shock isn’t a normal text-only book.

Prophecy Shock is enhanced by graphs, charts, timelines and other visual material that are essential to the argument and flow of the book and a standard Kindle version would have required leaving those out. I wasn’t prepared to do that.

Since then, the response to the book has honestly exceeded anything I could have expected. I’ve received emails, messages, phone calls and invitations to speak from people telling me that Prophecy Shock has completely changed the way that they understand Bible prophecy. Some have said that it has challenged beliefs that they’d held for decades. Others have told me that it finally made sense of questions that had puzzled them for years.

In fact, the only complaint I’ve had is from people asking, “Why haven’t you released a digital version?”

I’m delighted to say that I’ve now resolved that too.

Over the past few weeks I’ve been looking for a way to produce a digital edition without sacrificing what makes the book work – and I’ve found one. Rather than using Amazon Kindle, I’m releasing Prophecy Shock as a full digital PDF through another platform. That means that every chart, timeline, graph and illustration appears exactly as it does in the printed book, preserving the original layout and reading experience.

There is one important caveat. This version isn’t designed to be read on a phone. You could do it, but I wouldn’t recommend it unless you enjoy squinting for sport. It’s much better suited to an iPad, tablet, laptop or desktop computer, where it reads very comfortably and looks exactly as intended.

Which brings me to this email.
